Narayan's Ramayana

-Possible w/w relationship, or have Rama marry a man
-could make Dasaratha fight further for Rama
-someone could fight Bhar's mom? Rama could fight her
-have Rama wish to become a sage
-Have Kamavalli try and seduce Sita instead
-Soorpanaka would make a great episode on her own; a side story or spinoff
-Rama exiled; the people are outraged!!!
-brothers want to go with him to protect him
-the crowd starts and stops as Rama leaves
-get chariot; get away from people
-King Dasaratha dies (faints from hearing of Rama's departure)
-the people preserve the king's body while they try to find a new ruler
-Rama's brother is sent for; they tell him nothing
-the village is completely silent and dull
-Bharatha: kind, gentle man. Loves his family and loved his father; greatly respected his dad
-Bharatha DOES threaten his mother
-Bharatha and his mom are disowned
-Bhar sets off to find Rama, and tells him what has happened
-Fight for the throne; but for each other as owner
-Bhar takes Rama's sandals and puts them on the throne and stays out of the country
-Rama ventures farther so that people won't follow and make him come back
-stop at multiple sages' ashrams; they all take the crew in
-Sages can change form
-Ravana's sister: conniving; beautiful; "Kamavalli;" she attempts to seduce Rama. She refutes his points and is very aggressive.
-Rama is very kind hearted; he still wishes to believe Kamavalli
- Jealousy of Sita's pureness and beauty
-Soorpanaka (real name) is infuriated by Sita, and shows her true nature by blowing up at her
-Soorpanaka definitely has sexual desires for Rama and this enrages her. She is in torment.
-Lakshmana mutilates Soorpanaka as she tries to kidnap Sita and take her place. Brutal.
-Soorpanaka continues to try and sway Rama; even after he explains himself
-She tells her brothers of the humans, so they decide to kill the men and steal the woman (Sita)
-Ravana concocts a dastardly plan to kidnap Sita, which includes his uncle dying
