Reading Notes: The Mahabharata, Karmic Revolution Part E
The Mahabharata, Karmic Revolution
-Arjuna and Krishna kidnap Subhadra after she fell for Arjuna.
-Her father was angry at first at this. He finds out they are in love.
-Draupadi might be angry at Arjuna (also married).
-She was upset! But Subhadra won her over, and they became best friends. What if they fall in love instead? Or could tell a story of their friendship.
-All sages and townspeople attended marriage.
-Pandava household filled with joy at Subhadra's pregnancy.
-Arjuna would tell Subhadra and the unborn baby stories about his life. Could retell some of these? Or act from the baby's point of view hearing them?
-Subhadra fell asleep during a story. He carried her to bed.
-The baby remembered everything, so he could become a warrior. But he had incomplete knowledge.
-Big, strong boy. He never received the full knowledge.
-Draupadi was the wife of one bro at a time. Could tell of her switching and learning the mannerisms of each bro.
-Krishna gave Yudhisthir advice, telling him he could become a general.
-Jarasandha would never accept this, they have to kill him. Could tell a sneaky story of the boys assassinating him.
-Bhima, Arjuna, and Krishna are triple trouble! Adventure tale, but three stooges?
-Jarasandha is ripped apart. Yudhisthir is to be coronated.
-Shisupala hates Krishna and does not want him to take part in the coronation, and he insults the Pandavas. Krishna should challenge him to a fight.
-He just ripped Shisupala's head right off. This would be a great scene to retell.
-Parade time! Musicians' backstory? Dancers' backstories?
-The king must cleanse himself in the river.
-Draupadi also bathes.
-Duryodhana is just a butthole.
-He embarrasses himself by mistaking crystal floor for water and water for crystal floor. Bad luck? Cute and funny story of his day going terribly?
-Duryodhana makes a plan with Shakuni to get rid of the Pandavas. Shakuni would beat them in a game of dice. Could change the game to something else, more fun?
-Yudhisthir agrees, knows it is a trap.
-Shakuni would roll for Duryodhana, but Yudhisthir could not fight back. Much tension.
-Duryodhana won the rounds and took all the wealth and possessions.
-Yudhisthir wagered all of his bros like a huge JERK.
-WHAT IF HE WON??? WHY IS HE BEING A JERKWAD.
-He wagered Draupadi???? I hope he dies.
